Suitable for all skin concerns, but particularly beneficial for dry, sensitive, lacklustre, or skin showing signs of ageing.

Description
Rich in B vitamins to support and restore a healthy barrier function, polyphenols to help slow down skin ageing and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and vitamin C to provide antioxidant protection to reduce free radical damage. 

The Essences are in essence hydrating products, providing essential water-soluble nutrients to nourish the skin. They are particularly beneficial as part of your evening care ritual. At night while you are sleeping your skin is still active, it uses this time to not only repair and renew from the inside out but to also eliminate daily waste.

Using rich creams and oil-based products at night can hinder the skin's natural nightly processes. Instead, I have created a light nutrient-dense mist that could really be considered a light serum. They ensure the skin is properly hydrated and nourished with vital water-soluble compounds and vitamins to deeply nourish and protect the skin. 

Use once or twice daily to

• hydrate skin
• provide vital water-soluble nutrient
• restore and support healthy barrier function
• support nightly renewal and elimination process

Key Botanicals
Rose is an incredible balancer and is wonderfully soothing and cooling for irritated or inflamed skin. It gently stimulates circulation in the tiny blood vessels, helping to reduce the appearance of thread veins and broken capillaries. A rich source of vitamin C and B vitamins it supports collagen and elastin formation.

Marshmallow is a soothing root with natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties protecting the skin from free radical damage. It is rich in plant mucilage, helping to lock in moisture, prevent dryness and promote a more supple, youthful appearance. It has been used in traditional medicine for centuries for its soothing and healing properties.  

One of the key benefits of marshmallow root for the skin is its ability to provide botanical hyaluronic acid to keep the skin plump and firm by retaining water molecules within the tissues. It contains a range of natural plant compounds that can help to stimulate collagen production and improve the elasticity of the skin helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and promote a more youthful, radiant complexion.

Frankincense is another plant used for centuries due to its regenerative properties. It is said to revitalise, rejuvenate and strengthen the skin, improving tone and elasticity and reducing the appearance of lines.

Jasmine is not only delicious scented but due to the complex carbohydrates it contains it prevents water loss from the skin, restoring moisture content for long-lasting effects.  

Liquorice can help lighten the appearance of dark spots and discolouration, it has anti-inflammatory properties to soothe and calm the skin. It is very hydrating and helps to preserve our skin's own hyaluronic acid as well as supporting the skin's collagen and elastin production keeping the skin smooth and soft.

In the morning after cleansing, mist generously over the skin. While skin is still damp gently press your chosen Serum or Balm on top this will aid the absorption and penetration of your chosen Serum or Balm while they in turn seal in hydration.

In the evening mist generously to saturate the skin and allow to sink in naturally. I don’t use a balm or serum at this time preferring to allow my skin to be unobstructed by oils.

There are plenty of nutrient dense plant compounds in this Essence to 'feed' the skin overnight. But if you are new to Lusan and used to applying rich night creams or prefer to add a serum, then go lightly, 2 drops should be sufficient.
