Description
A blend of specially chosen nourishing, organic cold-pressed plant oils, rich in antioxidants, and anti-inflammatory and antibacterial compounds to soothe and calm redness and inflammation, restore barrier function and strengthen the skin tissues.
Medicinal plants and herbs are carefully chosen and slowly infused using traditional methods, to provide potent antioxidants, vitamins, flavanols and polyphenols to nourish, soothe and protect skin tissues and regenerate cells.
It may sound strange or even a bit scary to apply oil to an already oily skin. An understandable and common response to help alleviate excess oil is avoidance of all oil on the skin. Often products aimed at oily, blemish-prone skin not only avoid oils but use ingredients to actively dry the skin of sebum and oil.
However, the oils produced by our skin are an essential component of the skin's natural barrier and immune function and they provide a home for a healthy and diverse microbiome. When we try to remove or suppress the natural oils of our protective lipid layer, we not only potentially create dry flaky patches, leaving the skin vulnerable to bacteria and infection, but we actually set off a chain of events in the skin whereby it produces more oil to compensate for what has been removed.
Skin that is sensitive, and prone to acne or eczema often has an underlying deficiency of linoleic acid. This omega 6 fatty acid is crucial for the healthy development and maintenance of the skins barrier function. Dryness, scaly patches and other skin problems are often a result of linolenic acid deficiency, which can be made worse by excessive intake or use of oleic acid, causing increased secretion of thick viscous sebum that builds up and blocks the pores.
By carefully blending oils with fatty acids in beneficial ratios to address underlying deficiencies, balance can be restored. Chia, Raspberry, Rosehip and Seabuckthorn oils are potent antioxidant oils with antibacterial properties, rich in the important linoleic acid and balanced with anti-inflammatory omega 3, they help restore, soothe and calm reactive skin.
Astringent oils rich in tannins, such as rosehip, grapeseed and jojoba offer further anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties while also strengthening skin tissues and helping to minimise pores.

Key Botanicals
Jojoba Oil has a unique wax-like structure, very similar to our skin’s own sebum. It regulates the flow of sebum, assists in the healthy production of the skin's acid mantle, repairs barrier function, guards against harmful bacteria and restores balance. It provides a light, non-greasy protective film that attracts and maintains moisture yet allows the skin to ‘breathe’.
Chia Seed Oil is very light and easily absorbed, it is exceptionally high in anti-inflammatory essential fatty acid omega 3, with balanced amounts of the all-important linoleic acid for barrier repair and support. It is rich in a variety of minerals especially zinc, helping to soothe skin, regenerate tissues and even prevent scarring from lesions.
Passionflower and its vine gently promote detoxification, it is a natural source of salicylic acid, breaking up dead skin cells and clearing congestion, while also having astringent action to minimise pores. It is a soothing anti-inflammatory, healing skin irritations and redness.
Thyme is potent antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory, studies have shown it to be a natural alternative in acne treatment.
Calendula soothes and visibly calms redness and irritation. With wound healing action it reduces the appearance of scars and regenerates tissues, It also promotes the movement of lymph to help clear congestion.
