Tangy Tomato Kale Chips

Kale really is a superfood packed with an array of vitamins and minerals and incredibly alkalising. Kale crisps are an amazing healthy snack and an easy way to get more greens in your diet.

Serves 6
70g sunflower seeds
15g nutritional yeast flakes
6 sundried tomatoes, in oil, drained and chopped
1 red bell pepper, seeded and chopped 1 shallot
2tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons water
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
pinch of smoked paprika
1 bag of kale chopped/ 250g

1. Blend up all the ingredients except the kale until smooth. Pour over the kale and mix thoroughly making sure it is covered – massage in with your hands
2. If using a dehydrator place on a non-stick sheet and dehydrate for 10 hours. If you want it crispier you can then place onto a mesh sheet and dehydrate for a further 2-3 hours.
3. For oven baking put in a preheated oven (180C, gas mark 4) and bake for 10-15 minutes stirring occasionally.
